*URGENT NEED HELP UPDATE Bios Without CPU |

Hello I recently purchased a ASROCK B460M Pro4 motherboard and a I3-10105F CPU and I noticed online it?™s required I need to update the bios is their anyway I can update the BIOS without needing To purchase an older CPU to install the bios.
Any Help would be awesome! |

Are you saying when you turn on the pc it's black screen - nada - nothing and therefore you need a cpu that will allow it to boot?
Are you sure it's not a ram issue? Also, make sure no sata cables are plugged in. |

Always try the system before looking for a way to update. In many cases with intel
CPUs the system will POST even when the CPU isn't technically supported on that BIOS version. This is especially true when an XXXX CPU is listed as supported and an XXXXF or XXXXKF etc CPU is listed as needing an update. In most instances the only difference is the disabled iGPU on the F variant and the system will have no problem POSTing as the architecture is identical anyway. You will need a dedicated GPU with any intel "f" suffix CPU as they do not have an iGPU built in. If you are able to POST and get into the BIOS you can then update to the correct version to avoid any stability issues in the operating system (looking for an iGPU that does not exist). Thanks Xaltar i didnt know that i will try it later on in a few hours with my GTX 1050ti and try use a USB with the 1.60 BIOS update and flash it onto the BIOS.
Will let you know if it works |
