Either a Skylake CPU is needed to update the UEFI/BIOS for use with a Kaby Lake processor, or you can replace the UEFI/BIOS chip with the 7.30 UEFI already on it. What UEFI/BIOS version does your board have now? The UEFI/BIOS chip has a sticker on it with the UEFI/BIOS version number on it. That chip is on the lower part of the board, right by the letters "RoHS". You can request a new BIOS chip from the ASRock Repair/RMA department. Go to the ASRock mother board page for you area of the world. Click on Support at the top of the page, and the click on the Repair/RMA link. Read the instructions to contact ASRock about the new chip. They might send it to your for free if you can provide a copy of the invoice for your board. You can also buy these chips from places like eBay. |
