Hello! I can't to use Connector Retasking feature using GUI of Realtek HD Manager. Nothing happens when I trying doubleclicking or right clicking on the green color jack in the GUI. But I can to do same thing using Windows registry (and it work fine!). Front panel jack is slighlty damaged so I use headphones with special extension cable connected to back panel. I want to change "Speakers" to "Headphones" for Virtual Surround.
Why I can't use GUI for that feature? Is it a bug in Realtek drivers or new (future) "hardware" limitation? I use 6.0.1.7647 Realtek drivers version (same as on the DVD or ASRock site). My system: ASRock B150M Pro4, Windows 10 x64 (Crators Update). Thanks! Edited by Alexium67 - 24 Oct 2017 at 3:10pm |

Dear Alexium67,
Thank you for choosing ASRock.
Regarding your case, B150M Pro4 does support 7.1 CH HD Audio, there has front speaker jack (Lime), rear speaker jack (Black), side speaker (Gray), and central/bass jack (Orange), can fully support 7.1 CH. If you want to use virtual surround function, please select the virtual surround under Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD |

Thanks for answer. Cause unknown reason virtual surround work only for headphones on my system. If jack is detected as "speakers", I can't hear any effects with virtual surround enabled. Maybe because this feature was developed for "...Matrix decoders" (I don't remember right name). But same option (Headphone Virtualization) work fine if I use headphones in front panel or back panel with registry edits.
I'm sorry for bad terminology. Realtek drivers have bad translations for different options. So virtual surround = headphone virtualization. Probably it was a bad idea to post question here. I have fixed my problem using Windows registry. In same time I can't understand why GUI function is missed. Edited by Alexium67 - 04 Aug 2017 at 3:29pm |
