Na. The ASRock MB is/was most likely good still, depending on if anything shorted out by the TIM connecting a processor pin. |

As predicted above, TIM on a CPU pin. Not one other post about a Ryzen CPU running at 1/2 it's rated clock speed in the forum. I've never seen my Ryzen 1700X at 1.5GHz with C6 enabled. But of course, it was the board... ![]() How do mother board manufactures stay in business? ![]() |

I had the exact same issue with a Fatality X370 Professional Gaming... its likely the way you set the vcore voltage, at least that is what it was for me.. When i set my vcore voltage in both locations (top and down towards the bottom) I got the same as you were getting, like 1550mhz....
When I overclocked using the p-states it worked fine.. After overclocking with the p-states, I went back and set my overclock the conventional way one would overclock... I used the top frequency and top vcore setting only and it worked fine.. I used 1.350 vcore, the voltage setting on down the page was set to auto but I changed the cpu llc to level4.. It worked as intended... I'm running a stable 3.9ghz at 1.35 to 1.376 volts.. I think i'm going to go back to the p-state overclock though.. I like that better because of the down clock, seems like it used a bit less voltage also.. Edited by brucer - 21 Sep 2017 at 6:22am |
