Which PCIE x16 slot are you using? Your board's PCIE2 slot is both x16 physically and electrically. Your board's PCIE4 slot is x16 physically, but x4 electrically. My video card, a GTX 960, will downshift the PCIe speed connection, but not the PCIe lane connection. At idle it will shift from PCIe 3.0 down to PCIe 1.1, as reported by GPU-Z. I don't get a reduction in the PCIe lane usage. |
