My PC is freezing or going into BSODs seconds after I turn it on, either on the mobo splash screen, in the UEFI, or once I log in if I get that far.
I'm suspecting it's a hardware failure because I've had a lot of problems with it in the past and I've already wiped it and reinstalled Windows. I thought changing some drivers after that had solved the problem but it suddenly became worse than ever Thursday. I have no spare hardware except for the 2 memory sticks I have in there. What I've done is I tried each of those on its own (in the slot specified in the mobo manual for single stick setups) to see if one of them is corrupted. Had no problem booting when I did that. The issue comes strictly when I use the two sticks, again in the configuration specified by the manual. The problem persists if I swap the sticks. That makes me think it's an issue with the CPU memory controller or the mobo. I haven't tried any other configurations but I can if that helps narrow down the issue, I just didn't want to do something warranty-busting/dangerous. I haven't OC'd anything. - Windows 10 not activated - Asrock b450m pro4 - Ryzen 3200g - G.SKILL ??Ripjaws VSeries 16GBPC4-25600 Dual Channel DDR4 Kit (2x8GB), Black ??848354014973 - Western Digital ??
