Hm... I don't feel comfortable going for anything less than 750W. I'll be overclocking my 1700 soon and want the flexibility to upgrade to any GPU I want. Right now I'm considering;
Focus Plus Gold 750W @ $110 Focus Plus Gold 850W @ $120 Focus Plus Platinum 750W @ $120 EVGA SuperNOVA G1+ 750W @ $99 EVGA SuperNOVA G1+ 850W @ $104 |

Solid choices. I have not used EVGA PSUs so I can't speak to their quality but, I have not heard anything bad about them. As for flexibility, your R9 Fury is a 275w GPU, the RTX 2080ti is only 250w. As the process size shrinks, so too does TDP and power requirements. In fact, many (most) old generation flagship GPUs require more power than current ones.
I, and many others, swear by Seasonic when it comes to PSUs. They are responsible for a lot of the best rated PSUs out there. The fact that Seasonic internals can be found in a lot of high end (other brand) PSUs speaks volumes. EVGA uses Superflower internals for it's G series PSUs if memory serves. Not bad at all but not on the same level as Seasonic IMO. |

Ok. I'll go for a Seasonic... Which brings me to the next question...
Is the additional $10 better spent on the Platinum 750W or the Gold 850W? |

Honestly, I would go with the 850 for the headroom. On the other hand, if your power bill is something you would like to save a few $$ on then go with the platinum, though the difference will be pennies.

Bad news... Same issues after buying the new PSU. The only difference is that now there's a boot loop.
I cleared CMOS,tried with different graphics cards again, tried both RAM modules, a single one in each slot... Error is the same 7b (or 76). I guess all that's left is processor or motherboard. |

I ended up RMA-ing the motherboard and got a new one from Asrock.

After hours of troubleshooting I found that PSU and Motherboard were defected.
I was really shocked. It was working fine without any issue, I just opened the case for cleaning. I think the main reason is that I didn't discharge the case properly and grounding hit somewhere on the chipest, who knows !!! Now, I ordered new PSU and new motherboard. Also, I decided to upgrade the processor at once. Thanks for reply. |
