I updated the bios to 7.03 in Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X to use 5600x.
It's all good, even an wild TPM 2.0 module appeared??? Buuuut a tiny big problem happened: There's no way to disable the boot beep! Oh ghosh... The option disappeared. ASRock, fix this for my sanity! |

Dear Fabio,
The complete Agesa code (that contains a list of supported CPU's) is written by AMD, meaning that all options are free for ASRock to use, and since the Agesa code has been extended, there is sinply not enough room to have this option. Beep codes are a relic of the past, when the Old BIOS was created, it gave audible signals, when the system was not capable to show a screen, it was like morse code. UEFI works different, and on your board there is a Debug LED, that shows exactly in what stage of the loading proces the board is. Most new chassis therefore, don't even supply a Piezo buzzer anymore |

Kind Regards

This is a interesting explanation of the evolution of mobo messages. However, it doesn't offer a solution for disabling the beep after a BIOS upgrade enables it. Based on this explanation, it does seem that removing the Piezo buzzer may be the best option. |
