Hey Gang,
First off, Happy New Year to all! I recently purchased a J4205 Embedded Mobo. The specs call for a max of 2.6Ghz processor speed but when looking at the setup page, it tells me the speed range is only from 800Mhz to 1.5Mhz and from what I can see, non adjustable. It works, but not at its advertised speed. So... B) Is the CPU adjustable to 2.6Ghz, and if so, how is it done, or... A) Do I have a bad board? And... B) Is there a better embedded board to use for a media center (4k output)? Many thanks in advance. Steve

2.6ghz is the maximum boost speed which will occur under the right thermal conditions when only a single core is in use. This is the way Intel's boost works. 2.6ghz on a single core is nowhere near as quick or useful as 1.5ghz across 4 cores.

Thanks for the feedback. Hope all is well in Bulgaria! Had a colleague at Philips who came from there. Steve
