I have the q1900 and I see that it has a Mini PCI-e slot so I bought a Mini PCI-e SSD, Zheino half sized mSATA Mini ***PCI-E SSD***. I looked at Asrock's site and Zheino and both are Mini PCI-e but the BIOS is not seeing the SSD. Does anyone have any advice on this issue? Is there a setting in BIOS to change so that the MB sees the SSD? The system boots just find from a standard 2.5" SATA drive using Linx Ubuntu.

Sorry to say, it is common for the mini-PCIe slot on most mother boards to be only compatible with WiFi cards. Your board's manual includes this statement on page 12: MINI_PCIE1 (Half-size mini-PCIe slot) is used for half-size mini-PCIe cards, such as WiFi module. The Storage section in your board's manual does not include support for mini PCIe SSDs. That SSD will not work in your board. |
