Hello Community!
I recently bought some components and migrated stuff from my old Predator system into it. So far everything is fine except that my B560 Steel Legend board only detects 1 of the 2 8GB memory modules. Model: https://imgur.com/a/kabfPOg I installed them on slot A2 and B2 like they were in the old system. Tried to tweak them around but the only way the system evens runs is with this A2-B2 configuration. Yet my board only detects one module. I also took out the CPU again to check for any bent pins, but everything looks fine: https://imgur.com/a/vlPfQh6 Also made sure the CPU fan is mounted correctly and applying pressure evenly. BIOS is updated to newest version and the B slots seem to be active (at least it didnt say otherwise in the BIOS settings). So now my question is: Is there a way for me to check wether the memory module was damaged or there is something wrong with the board itself? Unfortunately i dont have access to different RAM modules at the moment. Any hint in the right direction is appreciated :) All the best, M |

Have you tried moving the ram to A1 and A2? I had an issue yesterday where I was in A2 B2 like the manual said and it detected the memory as 2666 speed and when I changed the profile to 4000 the system wouldn't boot. Had to clear the CMOS and then I changed them and it worked fine (still have another issue).

Yes, but without clearing CMOS. But i got a new module today and turns out it was in fact the module that was bad. Got it running now with two new 8GB in A2 and B2 + the old, working one in A3. Thanks though for your reply :) Cheers! |
