AsRock Fatality B150 Gaming K4
Asus GTX Strix 1050ti Intel i5 6400 8GB Ram Can not boot for clean install. Used a USB and portable disk drive ported in USB 2.0 and I keep getting "A required CD/DVD driver is missing" With WIN7 OS Tried with WIN8 and I am stuck at Installation prep at 2% badly need help, please. Would it help if I get an internal cd/dvd driver?

Try this one: http://www.asrock.com/microsite/Win7Install/index.html The problem with Windows 7 is, the Intel 100 series chipsets only use a USB 3.0 driver for ALL of the USB ports, including USB 2.0. The guide above provides instructions to add a USB 3.0 driver, or work around it with other hardware. An internal, SATA optical drive would work better with the installation disk, but your USB ports will still not function until you install a USB 3.0 driver. |
