strange issue here, i installed an m.2 a few months ago and installed a new windows os onto it. when the computer boots up im prompt with booting from old (sata ssd) or the new (m.2 ssd). this is all normal, however i just tried removing my old ssd's and the bios prompts me to insert a boot drive. when i go into bios i can see the samsung m.2 is a boot option but fails to boot into windows without plugging in the other sata ssd's. was going to update bios but this version is stable apart from this odd behavior. any help other than 'update bios' would be much appreciated.

Hi gunnthorian,
Thank you for your post. We think some necessary file for booting windows has been installed in your SATA SSD. It might the reason why your Windows is not able to boot without SATA SSD. We recommend backing up your DATA and reinstalling the Windows with only installed M.2 SSD in your system. All the best ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 25 Jan 2022 at 3:32pm |
