Hello,
I recently bought a new SSD ( Western Digital SN750 SE - WDS100TB0E-00B3V0 ) that I have installed on my Z390 Steel Legend but my SSD isn't detected in Bios nor on windows. This is a Gen 4 SSD but I read everywhere that Gen SSDs work on Gen 3 ports, they are just less performant. What I did: - Tried both M2 ports - Updated bios to version 1.30 ( last version ) - Reset CMOS - Tried to reinstall windows to see if it appears as installation disk Is my SSD uncompatible with this motherboard or can it be something else ? Thanks ! ![]() |

I think it might be that the device is faulty or factory damaged. If so, you could use the warranty to replace it.

I sent it back but I wonder if I should buy the same SSD or if I should buy something else.
