Check the device ID for the unknown device in device manager to make sure it's
actually the GPU. If you don't know how there is a video here. If it is in fact the GPU then all I can suggest is trying to download and install older drivers going back until you find one that works. I would suggest manually installing the driver but with GPUs I find that very often causes system freezes and a failure to load the OS so I wouldn't recommend it. If you have not already tried, remove the GPU from the system and clean the contacts etc. I am pretty sure it won't make a difference but it's worth a shot. If possible try it in the second PCIe slot on your riser. Failing all that, go ahead and open a ticket. Good luck, I have my fingers crossed for you ![]() |

The Device ID is: PCI\\VEN149D&DEV_0102&SUBSYS_000149D&REV_01... Vendor = 149D Developer = 0102 This is the same as the information/ ID referenced in all the docs that I have been reading and trying to download for the past days, so I'm pretty certain that it has to be NVidia.. I'll try to manually update/ install the driver tonight and if that does not work, then I'll create a ticket tomorrow with the support team. Again, I cant thank you enough for your support... |

Damn, hate to break it to you but Vendor = 149D Developer = 0102 is Newtek, so not
the GPU. Looks like you will need to get ASRock's tech department to help out with the BIOS. If you remember the version you were on before you could always try flashing back to that but it will be better if you can get them to send you a modded version of the latest BIOS that enables bifurcation. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. |

No worries! I appreciate you for all your help... I'll contact them tomorrow morning. The person that I talked to before (John) from Asrock told me that the unit was EOL and that they could not or would not provide support.. Fingers Crossed!!! Thank You Sooooooo Much, this has been truly a learning experience...

Update
After speaking with Asrock & Newtek Support I found out that my unit is EOL. But there's a group of certified tech providing repair service for the older units. The tech I linked up with said he could possibly restore my system with the TriCaster software and install Windows 11 with a new GPU, Nvidia P1000 & a 2TB SSD. I know, it sounds too good to be true but I shipped my unit out this morning.. lol He told me that problem is that I updated the bios and if I understood correctly, even if I would have tried to roll back the bios it wouldn't have mattered, once the connection was broken you can't recover... Not without their proprietary tools, access, software whatever.. I guess my point of posting is to warn people in the same situation DON'T update your bios... Thank you again for your support Not sure if I'm suppose to close the thread? If so let know.. Hope this helps someone... |
