Hi all
I'm having some trouble with my new build and I'm hoping someone could help. Here are my specs: ASRock B450M-HDV board (latest 1.20 BIOS) Ryzen 5 2600 (stock cooler) Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 2400 RAM (2 x 8GB - CMK16GX4M2A2400C16) GeForce GTX 1060 6GB WD 240GB SSD Seagate 1TB HDD Generic DVD Writer I've been having crashes when gaming. Twice I've had a BSOD (STOP CODE MEMORY MANAGEMENT) but MANY times the PC has either froze within 10-15 minutes of playing, or will reboot itself in the same time frame. Each time there has been a freeze or reboot, event viewer shows Kernel Power 41 error. I noticed that my memory isn't on the QVL. BIOS set to auto will detect 16GB at 2400, but (unless I'm missing an option somewhere) will only run in single channel mode. Also, Windows 10 (64 bit) will show 16GB, but only 7.93GB as being available. If I use XMP profile and change to 2133, it'll run in dual channel with all 16GB available to Windows. I have run Windows' memory checker, and MemTest86 without issues found. Also, all temperatures are fine. 1) Am I missing something which is preventing the RAM of running correctly at 2400? 2) If not, does this suggest faulty RAM? would faulty RAM cause Kernel Power 41 error? Thank you |

Hello,
I am about to build a new gaming computer, and I have the same motherboard and RAM that you used in your build (as specified in the original post). Were you ever able to fix your problem or did you end up using a different RAM model? Thanks! |
