Hey everyone,
Specs: ?˘Case: Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 ?˘AMD Ryzen 2600x ?˘Asrock X470 Master SLI/AC ?˘Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 Mhz 2x8GB (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16) In QVL: https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X470%20Master%20SLI/index.asp#MemoryPR ?˘XFX - RX 580 GTS Black Edition 8GB ?˘PSU: Corsair RM750x ?˘Samsung 512 850 Pro I just built a new AM4-based computer after about 9 years using my old i7 920 system. Essentially, this build will boot for approximately 15 seconds and then turn off, turn on again, and do this in a continuous loop. With every combination I?™ve tried there is no screen signal and no beeps (I connected an internal motherboard speaker). I already tried clearing the CMOS with a jumper, and again with the battery out and using a jumper- power was not connected at all during that process. I?™m getting the red breath light when power to the psu and motherboard is established, and a blue power notification light on the GPU. Every connection is minimal, no ssd/hd is connected via SATA, there?™s no m.2, I removed every front head connection except for the power button (which is set correctly), no fans but the CPU fan are connected. Also, the risers for the motherboard are correct, back plate is connected to the CPU fan and board, all connections are oriented correctly on the PSU and motherboard- I followed the manual exactly. I do not have other DDR4 memory to test with it, but I'm guessing it should boot the bios even without any sticks in the board? ***The only interesting thing I noticed is that when I have the 24-pin plugged in, but I unplug the CPU 8-pin, it stays on and does not reboot. However, there is still no screen signal nor any beep. Here?™s what I?™ve tried with no success, again no beeps and/or no screen: ?˘CPU + Motherboard + GPU +Memory (1 stick each, and both, in A2 and B2) ?˘CPU + Motherboard + GPU +No Memory ?˘CPU + Motherboard + No GPU + No Memory ?˘No CPU Power + Motherboard + No GPU + No Memory ?˘Using DVI or HDMI for screen signal, with or without keyboard/mouse After looking around TomsHardware and Newegg?™s reviews for the model, it looks like a few other individuals have had the same problem. Asrock?™s technical support provided these instructions to them, which I?™ve tried multiple times, again with no success. ?˘Unplug the ATX power, remove all components from mainboard. ?˘Remove the mainboard from chassis, place it on mainboard?™s box. ?˘Clear the CMOS. ?˘Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan. ?˘Test with single memory module (un-buffered). ?˘Test with onboard video (CPU with APU or test with VGA card). ?˘Connect the monitor. ?˘Plug the 24 + 8 or 4 pins ATX power. ?˘Connect the chassis power switch to mainboard. ?˘Turn on the power to check if it posts. Is there anything else I haven?™t tried for anyone familiar with this issue? Is it safe to assume I need to RMA this board? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Hey just posted I have the same issue with the same board, nothing powers up, no fans, no CPU can't get it to boot to bios.
I'm working with vendor that I got the board from for a replacement, maybe thinking I should change to something different? |

My issue was a little different, the fans worked, and the GPU ran, it was just the no signal/no beep/end reboot loop. I have seen others mention to check the PSU and PSU-to-Motherboard connections. I ended up RMAing this board today with Newegg. Yesterday afternoon I ended up buying the MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC in my town at a store, it was like $60 more, but it instantly worked in my build- which validated my hunch that the ASRock motherboard was the issue the whole time. While both boards have comparable features, the MSI model provides the hex-code troubleshooting display and for the extra money it seems to have a better construction feel. I am not sure if ASRock had a bad batch go out, or their QAing process is not as robust- there are several reviews on Newegg that point to our same issue here. Not sure if this helps anyone, but my particular X470 Master SLI/AC was made in Vietnam, so it could be a factory-based issue. Hope your next motherboard works out. ![]() |
