I recently built a server with the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 gaming itx/ac.
I installed debian, and did all configurations, I enabled wakeOnLan, and it works. The problem is that my ethernet keeps disconnecting randomly after a day or so, and when it disconnects I noticed that even the ethernet leds are turned off, until I reboot it, this is extremely annoying for a server, that's why I'd like to fix this issue. I don't know if this is related or not, but on boot I get the PXE screen, then afterwards it goes again to the ASRock boot screen, before going to the GRUB menu. My driver version : 5.3.5.20 (latest) My bios version : 4.90 (latest) Mobo : ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 gaming itx/ac CPU : AMD Ryzen 3 1300X OS: Debian 9 Stretch (stable) |

I have the same motherboard and also had my Ethernet disconnect on me... but only when the link was idle. Not sure if our problems are related, but I documented the issue here if you are interested.
I was able to prevent the link from going down by switching the router's LAN port setting from an energy-saving "Green Mode" (100Mbps) to "Power Mode" 1Gbps. Sub-optimal, but it worked. |
