I have an X470 Taichi Ultimate running a 2700X and 32GB ram. It was running BIOS 1.50 and everything was fine, it would sleep every night and wake up when I hit a key on the (USB) keyboard.
About a week ago I decided to try BIOS 2.00 and it wouldn't wake from sleep. The fans would spin up, but no video, no response, just sit there with the fans running at max. This happened with Windows 10 and Linux (4.17.19 kernel). I tried clearing CMOS, setting memory back to auto (2133), fooling with global C-state settings, nothing made any difference. I just now downgraded to 1.60, still no wake from sleep. Downgraded one more step back to 1.50 and now it wakes up just fine. Any ideas? I can leave it at 1.50 for now but eventually I'll want to upgrade the CPU, and I expect I'll need a BIOS upgrade then. |

Hmm. I found the solution but I'm not sure why clearing CMOS didn't turn it up. Apparently I managed to disable PSP support on the AMD PBS page, and without that it won't wake from sleep. PSP enabled is the default, but somehow the disabled setting managed to survive two different CMOS resets and two different versions! Strange, but at least it's working.
