Hello,

I have a build with

AsRock X399M Taichi (Bios 3.32A)
AMD 1920X
Enermax Liqtech TR4 240 cooler

The temperature in BIOS/UEFI shows instantly 64 degrees celcius and starts to climb to 67-68. This also causes the fans to speed up like crazy.

I read that other people had same kind of experience on the forum, and it was caused by the 27c temperature offset in the TR4 chips. However, I think that this problem was fixed in some BIOS release before the 3.32A which I'm running. I already sent an email to the tech support but they just replied that the CPU temp might be super high in BIOS because of the lack of CPU power management in the UEFI. However, once I boot Windows/Linux, the fans still spin at full speed, which seems to tell me that the temperature reading is still off. However, in linux I can see that (via lm_sensors) the CPU temp is something like 40 degrees, which sounds about right. But the UEFI thinks it is much higher; the fans are still spinning at 100%.

What is wrong?
