I purchased both of these items and the GTX 1080 Ti won't fit onto the motherboard, there are these capacitors in the way on the bottom left corner of the motherboard to the left of the PCI slot. You can see on the founders edition there is a small piece with a hole in it. Here are some pictures. Any way to install this graphics card onto my motherboard?

Founders edition (same problem with small piece next to pci)

The only option that will retain the warranty on both parts is a PCIe riser cable, looking at the pics you should be able to do this easily.

Hope this helps.

That it won't fit is odd. Great care and engineering go into compatibility.

Did those two caps get nudged upwards?

I've gently, GENTLY, and slowly, SLOWLY, nudged wayward/interfering caps back into the/an upright position before.

Done with care there is not much to worry over. I won't lie, there is risk involved. But very little, so long and it's a one time ordeal.

If that's not something you want to do, contact the Seller and do an exchange with them.
