I hate it when AsRock does that (BIOS releases). |

I'm probably just ranting, but:
For A520M-ITX/ac, they released a new BIOS on 2023-06-20 (version 2.80 with AGESA 1.2.0.A). Today (2023-07-03), that version is GONE, and replaced with version 2.90, with the same AGESA 1.2.0.A. No other explanations, such as, "we found a major problem with 2.80, so please update to 2.90 if you're currently using 2.80," or other useful information. The actual BIOS files have dates of 2023-06-15 (2.80) and 2023-06-27 (2.90), meaning they had the newer version 1 week after releasing the older version to the public. The PC I built for my mother is using this motherboard, and I was visiting her recently, so I updated the BIOS. Now I'm wondering, is the PC going to self-destruct? The lesson I guess is, give at least 1 month before flashing a new BIOS from AsRock. |
