Asrock X370 killer sli motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU.

Works and installs Windows 10 with no issues on an NVidia 1030 GPU.
System does not POST with either a GTX1060 or a 1050ti that are confirmed working cards in other PCs.

I've reset the BIOS, disassembled and re-assembled, tried different RAM in different channels, used another compatible power supply. System runs fine on the 1030 but still won't POST on the 1060 or 1050ti. The 1060 uses a 6-pin GPU power, which is connected. The 1050ti does not.

Am I missing anything, like that MB /CPU combination isn't compatible with anything better than a 1030?

I'm about ready to RMA the board. Any suggestions will be helpful.

If I remember correctly, 1060 and 1050 won't play well with UEFI boot. Try enabling CSM in BIOS or GOP ROM option.

You may also try updating your mobo's BIOS. Same goes for the 1050 and 1060.

Remember to always clear CMOS each time you are moving components around.

I appreciate the suggestions. BIOS has already been updated to 5.30 (latest)
We tried with both CSM on and off, same for the OP ROM. Still the same issue.

Here's an update, the 1060 is working in the 2nd PCIExpress slot.

We loaded into Windows with the 1030 in primary and 1060 in secondary. Windows saw both cards, drivers were installed. Found this odd behavior since the system would not previously POST with the 1060 in either PCIe slot.

We verified that both were working by plugging in the display to each cards' DVI port.

The system was then powered down, the 1030 removed and now the system will POST and works with the 1060 in the 2nd slot. If we move the 1060 back into primary slot, still no POST.

This has now worked through quite a few power resets but I'm not convinced the issue won't return. Probably still going to RMA the board after talking to ASRock support.

Very strange! Although I must admit I've seen some issues with 1060 and ASRock for AMD mobos.

Anyhow, if RMA is possible I guess it can't hurt, no?
