Hi all,

This is my first post to the forum.

How can I install a SSD NVME that comes with a heatsink on this motherboard?

I have noted that both NVME ports are covered by the heatsink of the chipset and it's not modular.

Thanks in advance.

a) Remove the heatsink from the SSD
b) Better choose a SSD without own heatsink

Hi,

Thanks for the answer but all the models of SSD NVME PCIE x4 come with a heatsink and the manufacturer say to not remove the heatsink.

In my opinion, the heatsink that comes with the motherboard should have been designed as modular. Allowing to remove when necessary.

Regards.

Yes, that is a complete stupid situation.
The flagship boards cannot use the new featured PCIe 4 devices without modifications.
And with all the other problems: What a bad start of this new platform.
