I have all ASRock motherboards here (10 of them). They use a combination of NZXT Kraken X61/X62 and Corsair Link H100i V2 and H115i V2 coolers.
Motherboards include Z170 and Z370 Extreme 4, Z170 Extreme 7+, X99 Fatal1ty Professional Gaming I7. For the Kraken coolers I use CAM. This is one of the worst pieces of software I have ever come across. It's inaccurate, slow, bloated, riddled with Telemetry, and unstable. Corsair Link is more stable, has less telemetry but is a nightmare to upgrade and remove. Both pieces of software control the CPU fans, and display the speeds and temps of other fans and components. But neither allow me full control over fan curves for ALL fans. I Use GPU Tweak II for my GPU's, which are almost all ASUS Strix cards. So... (1) What software do you recommend that will allow me to monitor AND MANAGE (preferably via fan curve profiles), speeds of fans/temps across ALL fans installed in a system. (2). It must NOT require Intel Management Engine. This is a security nightmare. (3). Given the existing coolers use USB connections to talk to the software, and the radiator fans are connected to the pumps directly (Not the motherboard), should I be removing the USB cable and/or connecting the fans to the motherboard. What about the pump cable? Does this stay on the CPU_OPT header? (I assume that's for reporting the pump speed)? thanks for your advice. Tanya Edited by TanC - 06 Nov 2017 at 12:53pm |
