Ive had this issue for a while and have not had any luck finding a solution online yet, wondering if anyone can help me here.

I am running an AMD k4 x370 Fatal1ty motherboard. Not sure when it happened, but all of my USB 3.0 ports on the rear of the PC are no longer working. They give power but no data connection. Webcams freeze, keyboards dont function fully (sometimes types sometimes doesnt, and the RGB lights flicker), my elgato streamdeck just has a blank white screen when connected.

When any of these devices connect to the front ports or any other rear ports, including the Fatal1ty mouse port, they work fine.

Things I have done to try and fix it:
Remove drivers and reinstall
Updated Bios to 5.10
Used driverbooster to remove old drivers
Check internals for any loose components

I have thought about possibly resetting the bios, or reinstalling windows but these are my last choices.

On my system (see sig) mouse and usb headset have been there since forever and no issues so far (including controversial latest 5.50 bios).

Can You please point out exactly which ports are non-functional in Your system (better photo, less possibility to misinterpret incorrectly), I'll compare to mine, maybe I'm using the "lucky" ports
CPU: Ryzen 5600X
MB: Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 (BIOS 7.03)
RAM: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, works with 3200 by default on 7.03 bios (previously I could not go higher than 2933)

The simplest way to rule out OS/drivers is to create a bootable linux live USB key. Boot into linux via the usb drive and check the ports in linux, if all is well then you know its drivers, if not, the problem is elsewhere.

Another useful tip with USB issues is to disconnect all USB devices when testing and only connect the device you are testing with (keyboard or mouse are best for this for obvious reasons). Fairly often, perceived port issues are actually device/cable issues that negatively impact other ports.

Thank you both of you. I will do some testing and see what I come up with.

So I went back and was able to boot via each port using my USB Linux parition. I have tried to reinstall all of the usb drivers and have had no luck. Ill keep searching as I feel its likely a windows issue
