Please forgive my complete ignorance on this, I'm new to this, first build.
I have an ASRock Z370 Pro Gaming i7 (Fatality Line) It has a "Fatality Mouse port" and I'm unsure how to utilize it. I did some googling and from what I gather it allows you to essentially overclock a mouse to increase the polling rate up to 1000hz. I have a Corsair M65 and Corsair's software (CUE) allows me to select the polling rate of the mouse (it is set to 1000hz by default). I'd really like to plug my mouse into the passthrough of my Corsair K70 if its not necessary to use the fatality port. TL;DR: Do I need to plug my mouse which is already polling at 1000hz using its own sofware/capabilities into the Fatality mouse port to see the benefits of 1000hz or is the Fatality Mouse port for mice that aren't capable of 1000hz on their own? i.e. Can I plug my mouse into whatever USB port I desire since it already polls at 1000hz on its own? Am I losing anything at all if I don't use the Fatality mouse port? |
