Are you sure that memory is version 5.39? We can find other versions of the same model of memory in the Z370 Extreme4's Memory QVL: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z370%20Extreme4/index.asp#Memory Your memory should work with the memory controller in your CPU. That is more important that compatibility with the board. Intel processor memory controllers are not as finicky as we see with AMD's AM4 Ryzen processors. Your memory was designed for Intel systems two generations prior to the Coffee Lake models, and things have not changed very much since then. Corsair does not include version numbers in the information pages for their products. How long ago did you buy that memory? It really should be fine with a Z370/Coffee Lake system: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lpx-16gb-2x8gb-ddr4-dram-3000mhz-c15-memory-kit-black-cmk16gx4m2b3000c15 |
