Hi, I've had an ASRock H81M-DGS R2.0 motherboard for a while and I've always had this issue I haven't been able to fix with my two USB 3.0 ports.
No matter where I plug my devices in, they will always operate in USB 2.0 mode, even when they are using the two ports with the blue receptacles. Using usbview.exe, I've also been able to see that there are two real Superspeed ports (Port16 and Port17) at the back of my computer that I can't plug anything into, no matter which port I try. I've also seen 4 ports which report General Failure because of "*!*ERROR: bLength of 0 incorrect, should be 18" (these ports are Port11,12,13,14,15). Is this a UEFI settings issue, or has it something to do with the bloated Windows 10 installation I've had for 5 years? |
