I have Asrock x299 Taichi XE motherboard. I recently updated the bios to the 1.9 bios successfully. Everything running fine. I inadvertently bumped something with the case open and caused a crash. Now when I power the computer on it will not post at all.
First thing I get is a code ?œC0??on Dr. Debug. If I power off and restart the computer, I will get the same code. After doing this 3 times, the computer will post, boot and runs Windows 10 fine. I assume this is from the backup bios. Speccy tells me I am running bios version 1.9. When I enter the UEFI and try to use the internet flash to reflash the bios I get the message that the computer is already running 1.9. There is no Secure Backup UEFI (B>A) that I can find. There is Secure Backup UEFI (A>B) which I assume copies the main bios to the backup bios. I don?™t want to do this because I think the main bios is corrupt. Even more confusing, after booting the computer, the LED on the motherboard seems to indicate that I am running on the A bios or active bios instead of the B the Backup bios. I am tempted to use Flashback to try and reflash the bios. I am a little nervous about doing this. Right now, outside of the pain of restarting the computer it is running fine. I don?™t want to screw it up fooling with the bios when I don?™t know what I am doing and there doesn?™t seem to be a clear answer. Does anyone have a good suggestion about how to approach this issue? |
