Hi
29 years old that I'm overclocking, never seen a Vdrop as bad! My 8600K at 5ghz under stresstest Orthos, the vcore is between 1.392 and 1.454 Fix in bios at 1.42v is almost the same I do not understand that a CM with 10 phases can have a Vdrop as bad. It looks like it uses only 6 phases because the 4 of the top do not heat up. I tried a lot of tuning and impossible to be stable in h24 at 5ghz, I am really very disappointed. Since I overclook, I had to buy more than 100 motherboards, first time I buy Asrock and I think it's the last one. My config: Deepcool Genome 2 Seasonic 850w G.Skill RGB 3000 C15 1.35v I5 8600k not stable at 5ghz (sometimes blue screen & max 2mn with IntelBurnTest) Vcore offset + 0.070v = 1.392v in A-Tuning Cpu ratio 50 Cache ratio 46 Level 1 Edited by Maxmiz - 11 Dec 2017 at 4:17am |

I resigned myself to 4900ghz at least it's stable in h24.
But it is absolutely necessary that the pb of vdrop is adjusted, otherwise a lot of processor will burn ! The worst thing is with the IntelBurnTest stressstest I go from 1.345v to almost 1.5v so my proc goes up to 100° in less than 30s then that make a mistake. Under Orthos after 1 hour of stresstest it is generally at 1.345v and max 1.424v That's what's good with Orthos is that the processor is always at 5ghz so you can see the vdrop. ![]() |

Stress test under Orthos 20mn at 4900 mhz:
At 1.36v (minimum value to be stable) I have some peaks at 1.429v and the proc does not exceed 68°. In Offset 35 (minimum value to be stable) I have a lot more peaks and it goes up to 1.429v and it goes up to 74°. On the other hand what is strange is that I am not stable under games with a fixed vcore, even increasing to 1.37v. And in games with fixed or dynamic vcore there are peaks at 1.440v it's really a lot. Ps: What's the point of having a forum if no one answers? Edited by Maxmiz - 17 Dec 2017 at 4:34am |
