After following this post. http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal And, leaving the jumper connected for 8 hours, it still complains that. The system failed to boot several times before. This means that I can't overclock because it stays at the default settings. The board is a brand new Z370 Tahichi with an intel I7-8700k I have checked device manager and all drivers are ok and up to date. Bios is the latest one for this board 1.20 When the bios is reset the time and date reset to random which is as it should be and none of the previous settings are in the bios settings ... so I am guessing that it has cleared CMOS. Why has this message not gone away even after a number of succesfull boots ? Really running out of ideas here. |
