Hi All,

Urgently need your great help for below issue:

MB: AsRock z390 taichi ultimate
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz (65W)
RAM: Gskill 4GB x 4

When I switch my newly built PC on, the fans start up, but I get nothing on the monitor via HDMI, and the POST display on the motherboard runs quickly through various codes then automatically re-boot two times, and then stops at code 18, which does not appear in the manual.

Anyone knows what's problem for this and kindly advise how to solve it, many thanks!

Ken

Dear Yes298,

Thank you for posting!

Z390 platform mainly supports Coffee Lake CPU.

When 6700(Skylake) CPU is used, it will not work properly.

Kindly use the Coffee Lake CPU on the system.
For the support list, kindly refer to the link below:

With thanks,
