I've read the rules, blah, blah, blah.. Here's the question.. Is the ASRock AB350 Pro4 (ATX) good? I've read good reviews on it, but when I asked about the price in my local store, they said ASRock makes cheap boards and they are the most frequent to be gave back for repair. Maybe they are reffering to ALL their boards which used to be bad in the past? Heard they are high-quality now.. Also its 91$ there, idk if that'll help, just wanted to point that out..

I can only speak from personal experience but in all the years I have used ASRock
boards the only issues I have ever had have been common across all manufacturers.
Things like BIOS bugs (new launches etc). I have not had a single ASRock board
fail on me yet and I have used in excess of 30 different ASRock boards over the last
10 years.

The quality of the actual boards is excellent, easily on par with any manufacturer.
The only area I sometimes find a bit lacking, and they do get there in the end,
is BIOS updates. ASRock can be a bit slow covering all of their boards when new
BIOS versions come out.

On the very budget end (lower than the Pro series) the boards are cheap but so
are boards in this price bracket from all other manufacturers. A $50 board isn't
going to break any quality records ;)

No, a simple BIOS update even with a successful message can mess up your whole MOBO (if using an older version). I just decided to switch to MSI cause more reliable. A update costed me 500+ bucks. Buy at your own cost

Rocktock, a bad flash will do that on any motherboard. It's rotten luck but it
happens. Failing to reset to factory defaults before updating, updating from
windows instead of from within the BIOS, turning off the system too quickly after
the flash, any number of things can cause a bad flash on a motherboard.

If and when this kind of thing happens ASRock is usually pretty good with helping
resolve the issue, often even after warranty is over.
