Hello All!

I have some bad Problems with my brand new Asrock Z370 Killer SLI. I installed a new i5 8600k on board and tried to install 16 GB Crucial DDR4 - 2666 UDIMM 1,2 V CL19 Ram (2 sticks a 8 GB) [CT8G4DFS8266].

First i tried to install the sticks in Slot A2 and B2 but the computer didnt boot. So i tried to install in A1 and B1. Same result - no boot.
After that i installed the sticks in the Slot B1 and B2 and finally it worked... but of course only in single channel mode.

In this forum i read about people having the same problem but i couldnt find any solutions.
I have the newest UEFI version (1.30) installed so i dont know what else to do. I also tried to set down the Mhz in Bios to 2400 Mhz but still no boot.

Hope you have some help for me and sorry for my english.

Greets

Oli

That particular Crucial ram is not QVL or verified to work on Asrock or Asus Z370 based boards from what I could find. So...Try one stick in A1 and see if it boots, remove the ram and try the other stick in A2 and see if it boots. Single sticks should boot in any slot if ram is compatible and mobo is good. Get Memtest86 (free) and burn to CD or USB and test one ram stick by itself in any slot that it does boot in. Remove and test other ram stick in same slot. If both sticks pass Memtest then the ram is good but not compatible with your board when running in dual channel mode.
