I am quite familiar with Raid setups but this motherboard has gotten me bewildered.
There is not enough information in the manual and I tried a setup from a Z370 which almost got me there. Can anybody provide me with a step by step guide on how to set this up? I have created the Raid but it will only boot back into the bios. HELP! Before I pull out all my hair out. Z390pg 9 Geil 2600mhz intel i9 2-HP M.2 250gb Acer M.2 1TB I only want to run the 250gb's in raid 0 Thanks, czander475 |

Dear Czander475,
Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum. Regarding your question about RAID 0, if you are using PCIe M.2 x2, could you kindly refer to the pg. 13 from the link below and check the step you've got to? https://download.asrock.com/Manual/RAID/Z390%20Phantom%20Gaming%209/English.pdf With thanks, ASRock TSD |

I do not have a selection Launch Storage OpROM policy to [UEFI only] Otherwise everything follows along pretty closely to my own bios on the Z390 board
I get to step 9 and then the computer reboots but it boots back into the bios and not into the normal intel raid screen. |

This is my first Asrock motherboard and so far I'm very disappointed. I always use MSI or Asus in the past. I can't believe that Asrock does not have a technical support phone number. 4 days ago I sent a support request on their website. I have yet to hear back.
I gave the forum a shot and got an immediate response and they provided me great instructions for an older Z370 raid instruction manual. I never received anything like that in the box with the motherboard. While it was close to my bios. It was not the same. They asked me a question and I responded on the forum but never got a reply. I continue to haunt the Internet and was told by somebody I could download the raid manual for my motherboard on the Asrock website. It was right there. So my questions: 1.Why didn't not come with this manual? 2.Why did Asrock not send me a link to the correct raid manual? 3.Most important, since they don't have phone support! Why did they not respond to my support request that I did on their website. Sometimes it's more about the support. Then the product! Satisfy a customer with issues and you will have a customer for life. Companies need to look at issues as opportunities... Let's hope it all works out! ![]() |

Dear Czander475,
Happy Monday and thanks for the reply. You are one step away from building the RAID. After Step 9. simply press to Create RAID will allow the RAID to be built. After that, you can then directly go to the process of installing the Win10. (If you are using the RAID as the OS disk) For your reference, we have created the RAID guide for you: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BQFLerAjIV-9_bydW4TO8R5yupiLikz6 If you are using the RAID 0 as the data disk: Simply boot into the Win10 and go to "disk management" and format and create a volume with the RAID disk. You should be able to use RAID directly. With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 18 May 2020 at 7:15pm |
