basically i went to the uefi, auto updated the bios which is P2.20 right now and im wondering why the latest version on the support page for my mobo is 2.10 and 2.11 on beta? can anyone confirm why i have the 2.20 bios? another question, does this mobo hide overclocking features or menus when using a locked cpu? i have a i7 7700 and would like to lock the multiplier but i cant see those options on my bios.

Dear Giodegracia,
Thank you for choosing ASRock.
About the BIOS version, P2.20 is updating Intel Microcode to 80, but Intel release new microcode 84, so we remove BIOS P2.20 and upload BIOS P2.30 with new microcode 84. https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20Z270%20Gaming%20K4/index.asp#BIOS
About the multiplier, only K series CPU can set CPU Ratio manually. Non-K series CPU can disable Intel Turbo boost to lock the multiplier at base frequency.
Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD |
