Hey.

I have an ASRock Z87 Extreme4 motherboard and tried turning on Intel Fast Sleep in the bios. Put it to sleep and came back half an hour ago. The computer was running, but the screen black, nothing seemed to help.

Killed the computer with the button, pulled out the power cord, pressed the button again to make sure everything was off, pulled out cmos battery, waited 30 sec, put in again. Reconnected everything, but boot gives nothing but a black screen.

The strangest thing is that the keyboard lock leds (num, caps, etc) are always on as long as the power cord for the computer is connected, and the USB keyboard is connected to the comp. Even if I take out the power, wait a while, and then put it in again, the lock lights go on automatically.

Is there any way to do like a total hard reset that should fix this issue? If it makes any difference, I was last booted into a Hackintosh, not Windows.

Any tips?

If that doesn't work then your next step should be to try another PSU. If that
still won't solve the issue then post back here.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try 10 minutes now, and if that doesn't work, I'll try 4 hours.

Okay so now I came back from work and the battery has been out for almost 6 hours. I put the battery in and attached the power cord, and immediately the lock keys on the keyboard lighted up. I just can't get my head around what is happening.

Any further ideas?

Disconnect all devices from the system, keyboard, mouse, hard disks, everything.
Pull all the RAM and leave just one stick in the A2 slot and connect only the power
and display cables to the system.
