Good morning.
I would like to know if a RAID consisting of 3 Samsung EVO M.2 SSDs can be made on the x299 Taichi CLX motherboard. There is no problem in the printed manual. But in the online manual (same version 1.0) it explains that only with a CPU of 48 Lanes. If I install the i9-9940x CPU (44 Lanes) will it disable M2_2 (as explained in the online specs)? If I add a adapter PCI (slot) -> M.2 (1), could it RAID with all 3 SDDs? Thanks a lot |

Dear Davidam2,
Thanks for posting your query to the ASRock forum. To build RAID with PCIe M.2 x 3, please refer to the following information for the requirements: - A VROC key - HYPER QUAD M.2 CARD https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/product.asp?Model=HYPER%20QUAD%20M.2%20CARD#SupportList - Not all of the NVMe SSD will work. For the supported SSD, please refer to the link below: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/memory-and-storage/ssd-software/Intel_VROC_Supported_Configs_6-3.pdf With thanks, ASRock TSD Edited by ASRock_TSD - 14 May 2020 at 3:50pm |
