I upgraded my PC to the i7-8700k and am using the Z370 Pro4 motherboard with 2 8GB G.Skill memory. I have the case fans set to silent in the BIOS. Everything is running fine for the most part, but from time-to-time when I either wake the PC from sleep or power it on if I've turned it off completely, the case fans rev up to full speed and won't stop. It doesn't happen all the time thankfully, and I can usually fix it by rebooting Windows, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this problem and was able to fix it. Is it a bug in the BIOS? I'm running v1.30.

yes it is a bug on the bios, some fan controllers are not well controlled by asrock boards. the noctua 140mm pwm for example.
you should email asrock support about that, they may add it. i am testing an asus board because 1.40 dudnt fix the problem with the 140mm
