Subject kind of sums it up:
ASRock Z370 Gaming K6 motherboard, with 64G of Corsair Vengeance LED memory. This is memory sold as 64G pack, consisting of 4 x 16G sticks. 16-18-18-36 3200 MHz 1.35V as defined on the package. As long as I only place a stick on B1 and/or B2 slot, the memory is recognized, although BIOS initially sets it to 2100 MHz. I can set it to 3200 though, and it'll still work. I tried setting sticks to B2 and A2, keeping one stick on B2 and cycling through every one of the three other sticks on A2, but each and every one has the same result: MB led cycles though: 00-15-30-00-4C, and keeps repeating that pattern forever. BIOS is flashed to what should be newest version at the moment (1.60).

What's the Kit P/n?
One of three things. Compatibility issue, a bad stick, or check that all 4 S/N's on the sticks are consecutive. Meh, maybe ......... Are you 100% sure you are seating the sticks completely? This has become more commonplace here than you'd think. It takes some pressure. Or, attempt resetting and or clearing the BIOS. Disconnect power, flush the capacitors by pressing the Cases start button, and use only one memory module in A2. |

Thanks for the reply.
CMU64GX4M4C3200C16R 1752010391774 90 1752010391774 91 There's two sticks in the computer while I'm typing this, I'll need the check their numbers once I'll finish - but I'll have to assume until then that they would be consecutive. I forgot to mention it but yes - after every swap (when I was trying to pair all 3 in A2 with the one module in B2) I turned off power supply (not just power button), waited for leds to go dark and then used the reset jumper for a few seconds. Didn't help. Bad stick seems unlikely, unless there's multiple ones in the batch, and it only manifests in dual channel mode: every one of the dimms works alone on B slot, none of them work on A slots. I also tested another stick in B slot, paired with two randomsticks on A slots. Tried each of the sticks alone on A slot, although I'm not certain if the system would boot with good stick alone in A slot (usually I'd expect so, but have no means to test). It's unlikely to be an issue with not seating them properly, because I've tried dozens of iterations, and across all of them it's been consistent: every time I inserted stick(s) alone in B slot, it worked. Every time there was stick(s) in A slot, I got 4C. If it's one of the three, I'd have to say the "compatibility" is the leading candidate. -- edit -- Checked the remaining sticks, they are: 1752010391774 89 1752010391774 92 ..so that makes them consecutive. - I tried both -89 and -90 alone in A2, got 4C on both of them (turned of PSU, waited for leds to go dead, then reseted bios, after each swap). - Tried adding the other chip to B2, (-90 in A2 -89 in B2), got 4C - Moved -90 to B1 so they are in B1 and B2 - booted up without issues in single channel mode. Oh, and the memory sticks have leds in them, which seem to light up and pulse the way I think they are intended - regardless of if they are in A or B slots, so at least the sticks do get powered on every slot.

Update: took memory chips to store for testing, they turned out ok like expected. Tomorrow will take MB and CPU which I expect to check out fine too - but will see.

Resolution:
Turns out in my case the problem was in motherboard. A few of the pins on the CPU socket were bent, and by some strange coincidence, those pins must have been connected to memory control. After carefully straightening the pins and reinstalling the CPU, all four memory banks are working without issues. What are the odds? Always assume the impossible I guess.
