I?™m thinking of upgrading to a Ryzen 2700X and I have a B450M HDV board so I thought I?™d update the bios in advance so I?™ve got everything sorted for when it comes. However, after formatting my USB flash drive to FAT32 and putting the BIOS file on there, when I go into the bios and hit Instant Flash it doesn?™t pick it up. I?™ve tried every usb hole I have, but nothing will pick it up. An extra question, do I even need to update the CPU is listed as not compatible with the mother board on PC part picker and needs updating, but on here it says it?™s supported by ALL bios.

Cheers any help as to why my USB/file isn?™t being picked up?

What CPU are you using and from which bios version do want to update to which version?
1.70 has (PinnaclePI-AM) AGESA 1.0.0.6, that is the final version for Gen2 CPUs like Ryzen 2700X.
You should not use a newer version (at least this time)!
