I tried to upgrate my CPU from a 2700x to 5600x
The MB is a x370 Taichi using the latest BIOS 7.10 Using the 2700x the computer is ok and I never had any crash or problems during the boot. I switched the cpu with a 5600x but now is unuable to boot and dr debug reports error 98 I removed everything from pciex (I had a NVME driver and a wifi card) and i left only the GPU (gtx 1070) -> same error 98 I tried with single slot RAM (not overclocked) but the error is still here. I also cleared the CMOS. Reinstalling the 2700x the system is fine Any suggestions? |

Update I had to connect the main monitor using an hdmi cable instead of my usual displayport cable. Before I tried to update the gpu firmware without success (google: NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays). After the first boot with the new 5600x the system is fine even using displayport. |
