I'm not a hardcore tech guy so I'll try to explain this best I can.   I have 32 GB of memory installed (two 16gb sticks). The system is allowing me 15.9 gbs of usable memory while 16.1 seems to be locked up in Hardware Reserved.

I've seen other people on here with a similar issue and the solution seems to be a BIOS adjustment of the frame buffer size.   My problem is I can't find it in the BIOS.   I get as far as   Advanced\AMD CBS\NBIO Common Options.    I believe my next selection should be "GFX Configuration" but I don't see that listed.

My motherboard is A320M-HDV R4.0

The guys who built the computer have been trying to help me out but we seem to be stumped.   I'm starting from scratch on here so I'm guessing I'll probably need to provide more information.

Is there a solution? It seems to me that half my memory shouldn't be locked up like that but maybe that is it.   When I had the original 16 GB installed I had the same issue - It gave me just under 8 GB usable.

Any help would be appreciated!    Thanks....

Anyone have anything on this?   Any BIOS experts out there who can tell me where to look?   I've hit a wall.

having half of your ram hardware reserved means its not working
u could try to reseat it, make sure ure using A2+B2 slots
u can also try each of those two stick alone in A2 slot to see if both are working

I'll try that and see.   But my memory performance info window is showing that it has 32 GB on board.   Does that matter?

Are you thinking a memory stick isn't working or the slot?   I had the same issue when I had the original two 8 GB sticks in but it still read there was 16 GB on board.

Okay, I tried booting up with one stick in the inner slot and it wouldn't boot up.   It will boot up with one stick in the outer slot and it reads as 16 GB on board.

Where do I go from here?
