Hi there.
I have a J3455-ITX MB and I have ESXi running on it. Now the problem is the network performance doesn't seems right. When running windows 10 pro 64bit or ubuntu server 16.10 64bit straight on it, everything goes right. Network speed can up to 950Mbps tested by iperf. But under ESXi, no matter I enabled the SSH for ESXi and login into it to test with iperf located in [/usr/lib/vmware/vsan/bin/iperf] or I create VMs with couples of OSs including ubuntu server 14.04, 16.10 and DSM then test with iperf under VMs, the network speed just goes between 50mbps and 600+mbps. While I searching on the internet, someone claimed that this MB works well under ESXi, so I have no idea what is going wrong. PS: I have tried both the 1.10FW and 1.20FW, and I can't get the 1.11 testing FW for test. I have tried ESXi 6.0 and 6.5, both patched the NIC driver via [v-front.de]'s powershell script. Anyone have any idea? Many thanks.

Kicking an old thread. Got the same issue. 400-600 Mbps in ESXi - even tried adding a dual-gig NIC on the PCIe bus - same speed as the Realtek on the motherboard. Tried disabling C-states - on latest BIOS (P1.30 - J3455B-ITX) - to no avail. Tried running /usr/lib/vmware/vsan/bin/iperf on ESXi 6.5 - even in the host os - maxes out at 600Mbps.
Anyone has a resolution to this? Tried ESXi 6.7 - nothing changed. /R |
