H270 Motherboard Ram

   I just got a ASRock H270 Motherboard, and I have most of the parts I need to start putting things together minus the ram.  The board supports a maximum of 2400 mhz RAM I believe but I do have some extra 600 and 800 Mhz sticks laying around which I believe are DDR4 sticks.  Can I use these sticks to fire up the machine and start testing things, and does this board require a pair of memmory sticks or could i get away with only using one stick?  Thanks.
