Hi,
I recently purchased a 970 EVO 1TB m.2 drive to use with my setup. I have a Fatal1ty Professional Gaming i7 with an 6850k (40 lanes) installed. I have bios 1.70 installed I'm only trying to use the drive as a storage device and I cannot get it to show in the BIOS drive manager portion, or windows. However when I go to the NVMe settings in the BIOS it shows Samsung 970 EVO 1TB listed and even when picking the boot drives it shows the drive listed. I dont know if that signifies anything. I have the current Samsung NVMe drivers installed and their magician software as well (which also shows the SSD). Is there something I am missing or is the drive just not compatible with my board? Thanks |

Ok so the drive does show in the BIOS but not under Advanced > Storage in a m.2 slot ?
Do you have another SATA drive connected on either SATA 3_2 or SATA 3_3 as that would cause a conflict with M.2 ports ? The EVO 970 does not show on the QVL list but should work ok, maybe you should contact Tech support direct and ask if they tested it on a x99 Fatality http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=5265&title=howto-contact-tech-support Edited by badbri - 17 Jun 2018 at 11:23am |
