Hello,

Here is my config :
- MB : ASRock B450 Steel Legend
- CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AM4 (i guess this is the AF version, but can't find a specific model on the box, Amazon tells me YD1600BBAFBOX
- RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Go (2x8Go) DDR4 3200MHz - only one in slot A2
- GC : PNY GeForce GTX 1650 Super 4 Go (first slot)
- Mouse and Keyboard (USB)

Il only plug the power on button from my case and the 24-pin on the motherboard for power.
Then HDMI from the GC to a screen.

When i put the power on :
- LEDs are working
- CPU fan is spining

But i have no display. I can't reach the bios.

Do you have any ideas £

Thanks !

Test both sticks of RAM one by one in each and every slot. Re-seat RAM again and again and test again.
Does board have any sticker saying what is the BIOS version. AF is supported since P3.20 I guess.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

I tested all the combinaison for RAM (both stick) with no luck.

I did not find anything about the bios version. On "Rev 1.02" on the motherboard.

Yeah, i see that for P3.20, which is not recommanded for my CPU according to the download page...

I guess i will return the motherboard and buy another one :/

Along with the 24-pin power connector, you also need the 8-pin connector marked ATX12V1. Look at the motherboard layout in the user manual or qhick installation guide.

Ok, i feel so dumb.
With the 8-pin connected, the motherboard boot and i have a Bios vP3.4.

Everything seems to work fine !
I will mount everything in the case again.

Maybe one last question : can i disable alle the fancy LEDs £

Thanks

@jdillipl   Good catch! I have faced similar issues a number of times but most of the times it has always been either CPU not supported due to previous BIOS or not properly seated RAM.

Manufacturers occasionally affix stickers to the boxes of later manufacturing runs that include the newer Zen 3 BIOS updates to indicate out-of-the-box compatibility (e.g., "Ryzen 5000 compatible"), but if there's no such indication on the box, there's no easy way to determine.
I love to search and read reviews about sticker printer at topvinylcutters.
