Hello. I am a Newbie about to embark on my 1st NewBuild

B450M Pro4

I have purchased all but my tower case (with PSU) and GPU from Amazon UK.

Looking at www.asrock.com support pages, it does not list the M.2 ssd or memory that I have purchased. I understand the list may be updated every month ??

So, will my storage & memory that I have bought work ok with this motherboard ?? Thanks in advance. I purchased an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU ... thankfully that is supported (although it is a MATISSE core ... which is not mentioned in the user manual for installing memory modules).

Storage: SABRENT Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x8Gb 3000MHz   CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

Also, I bought a GIGABYTE AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB graphics card ... I hope this will work ok ??

Thanks again. BRgds from UK

i use this exact same board in my wife's system

now just because the parts are NOT on the tested list dosnt mean they wont work

BUT it means they are untested/confirmed
so luck plays a major part
my wifes system also has un verified ram
crucial ballistix 3200 cl16 2x 8gb
which can confirm works perfectly just by clicking the XMP option in bios
and a smasung evo 850 ssd (which i would presume is on the tested list)

my BEST GUESS.........
the corsiar ram should boot ok at defaults and would probably be stable with the auto selected timings set by the bios of your board (esp. with a 3600 cpu which has a much better memory controller than the earlier ryzens)

the nvme ..who knows ? its easier than ram to work without issues all i know is the adata x8200 works ok as ive used one in another build with this board (it is in fact in a few tests actually faster than my samsung evo960 nvme in my own system)

my advice ?
do a test build out the case first with just
cpu/gpu/ram and make sure it boots to bios before installing in case
remember to place ram in slot a2 and b2 (second and forth slot AWAY from cpu socket)
and make sure this INCLUDED psu actually has
the cables for the ancillary cpu power (eps) and an 8 pin pcie power for the gpu
i have little faith free-bee psu's shipped with cases will have to extra cables to support a 8pin cpu/eps and an 8 pin gpu pcie
but hey i hope im wrong in your case

What a gent ... thank you for such a swift reply.

The case arrives today, so I can check out cables tonight.

You have worried me, mentioning things like ?˜XMP Option in the BIOS??and ancillary cpu power(eps) cable !!

However, I?™m not going to rush and part of this project is to learn ...

If you are able to keep eye out on this post, I would be MOST GRATEFUL ... I will keep updating ;-)

Thank you again for your detailed reply:

I decided to take the stress out of my build and returned my SABRENT Rocket M.2 card & Corsair Vengeance LPZ ram ... in favour of your ADATA M.2 & BALLISTIX ram (both from Amazon ~ less than £10 in total extra).
The case I bought with built in PSU is the Thermaltake V200 Tempered Glass RGB Case + Tt 550W Super Silent PSU + 3x RGB Fans Fitted EXCLUSIVE, from Scan.co.uk. The PSU is 550W and has main 20+4 pin plug, a 4+4pin, a 6+2 pin and a 6 pin. Plus 3 strands of SATA/4pin peripheral/floppy drive connector. So all good there.

I watched, learned and copied from a couple of YouTube videos ... both invaluable really !!

And Hey Presto, after checking & double checking ~ PC booted up first go !!

Thanks again for your pointers ... most appreciated.
