Aloha

Im having an issue at the moment where im stuck in a boot loop. The motherboards BIOS is the latest at 3.6. I see that it is not recommended for my processor, but it should still boot, yes?

Ive tried resetting the CMOS. All parts connected to the system were previously working fine in another system. Anyone else experience this? The system powers up, then about 10-15 seconds later shuts off and then restarts. It does this over and over until i power it off by holding power for 4 seconds or unplug AC.

Thanks in advance....

sounds more like a RAM training issue .. have you tried with just one stick of RAM? .. and/or trying unplugging power and popping out the cmos battery for several minutes and hold down power button to totally drain all residual power from system and then put battery back in and try booting

Thanks for the reply, i let it run a couple minutes. If its RAM training it would be the longest run ive ever seen. Not that id be surprised either though. Im going to try letting it run longer later when i get home after i try popping the cmos battery as you have suggested.

I made another post because i didnt see that this had fallen to the 2nd page.

i r noob sometimes.

BIOS = 3.6
CPU = R5 2400G
Mem = G.Skill 3200MHz Flarex CL14
PSU = 550W Seasonic Focus Gold.

Nothing else connected to the system except for a brand new NVME drive on the back of the board.

Anyone else have similar issues and had a resolution? Is it perhaps just memory training?

I tried resetting the CMOS by jumper, but still does the same thing. Going to try popping the batter later just to be sure.

let us know how it goes with popping battery out ..

I run the older little brother to this mobo in my daughters rig .. The B350 Fatal1ty gaming itx/ac. First I had a 2200g in it and I was impressed with how well it ran Fortnite at 1080p .. then I upgraded her to my old 2700x and a GTX 1060 3GB .. now she runs a 3600x with an RX570 4GB. Been a great little box for her

Good news, after much fiddling tonight i was able to get her to boot and installed fresh Server 2019.

I located the wires that lead to the battery, that took a hot minute. Didnt work. Then i reset the cmos jumper, and disconnected all the case headers except for the power button. Still nothing. THen i took out 1 stick of ram, the one closest to the CPU. STILL nothing. Then i moved the RAM back to the first slot.....voila!   Finally. Going to hook everything back up 1 by 1, but all should be fine. Motherboard is the only new component, and the RAM is good stuff.

What a sigh of relief. Now if i could just figure out why my SAS drives that are attached to my SAS/SATA backplane arent spinning up id be a happy camper.
